Event Kits – Terms & Conditions
1. Tableware & Accessories Hire
1.1 Deposit & Payment
A 50% non‑refundable deposit is required to secure all tableware and accessory hire bookings.
Deposits are only refundable in the event of a verified medical emergency or death affecting the client or an immediate family member.
For all other valid cancellations, deposits paid beyond seven (7) days from booking confirmation will be converted into a credit valid for 12 months (1 year).
1.2 Bond & Cleaning Requirements
Any tableware or accessories hired without Event Kits’ staffing service will attract a mandatory bond payment.
If the client does not add Event Kits’ cleaning service to their booking, the bond will be required.
The bond will be refunded only once all hired items are returned clean, dry, and in their original condition.
Items returned unclean, damaged, or missing will result in partial or full bond forfeiture.
1.3 Delivery, Setup & Post‑Event Collection
Delivery and setup of tableware does not include post‑event cleaning or scraping of dishes.
Clients are responsible for ensuring all plates, cutlery, glassware, and accessories are scraped free of food waste and ready for collection.
Failure to scrape or prepare items for collection may result in additional cleaning fees or partial bond forfeiture.
1.4 Loss, Damage & Replacement
The client is responsible for all hired items from the time of delivery/collection until they are returned.
Any loss, breakage, or damage will be charged at full replacement value.
Replacement charges must be paid within seven (7) days of invoice.
1.5 Hire Period & Late Returns
Standard hire period is 24–48 hours unless otherwise agreed.
Late returns may incur additional daily hire fees.
1.6 Use of Items
Hired items must be used for their intended purpose only.
Items must not be altered, glued, painted, or modified in any way.
2. Staffing Hire (Bartenders, Waitstaff & Event Personnel)
2.1 Deposit & Booking Confirmation
A 50% non‑refundable deposit is required to secure staffing for any event.
Once the deposit is paid and staff are booked, all cancellations are void, except under verified medical emergency or death.
Proof (e.g., medical certificate, official documentation) is required for any refund consideration.
2.2 Cancellations & Changes
Cancellations made within seven (7) days of the event are non‑refundable.
Changes to staffing numbers must be requested at least 72 hours prior and are subject to availability.
2.3 Staff Conditions & Safety
Clients must provide a safe working environment for all Event Kits staff.
Staff reserve the right to leave immediately if unsafe, abusive, or illegal behaviour occurs. No refunds will be issued.
