Waiter Role Description
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide table service in a courteous and timely manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve meals and drinks in accordance with venue standards.
- Clear tables, reset settings, and maintain cleanliness of the dining area.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints or refer them to the supervisor.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle payments.
- Assist with basic setup and pack-down of service areas as required.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and allergen awareness is an advantage.
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate may be required if serving alcohol.
Hourly Rates
Monday- Friday 9am – 6pm – $50 per hour
Monday – Fridays – 6pm 12am – $55 per hour
Saturday’s 9am – 8pm – $60 per hour
Saturdays – 8pm – 12am – $65 per hour
Sundays 9am – 8pm – $70 per hour
Sundays 8pm-12am – $70 per hour
